La Manga is voted Europe’s leading Golf resort… again!

For the third time in five years, La Manga Club has been voted as Europe’s best golf resort at a major international holiday award ceremony. Source : World Travel Awards held in New York.

La Manga has always been a fantastic golf holiday , and with its 3 championship golf courses and outstanding practice facilities, it is perhaps hardly surprising that it has been voted Europe’s top golf holiday resort twice in the past five years*. The resort has also recently been chosen as the official winter training base of the German PGA.

La Manga resort has played host to many international tournaments including the Spanish Open, PGA Spanish Championships, Spanish Junior Championships, Ladies’ Spanish Open and Senior Spanish Open for men.

The 3 top-quality, 18-hole championship La Manga golf courses all benefit from uniquely tranquil surroundings and provide many superb views. Whether you are fine-tuning your technique or learning the rudiments of the game, this fabulous resort offers a truly diverse and unique golf holiday experience.

La Manga South Golf Course – La Manga Golf

Originally designed by Robert D Putman, this classic championship course was remodelled in 1992 by Arnold Palmer, who won the Spanish Open here in 1975.

The South Golf course is located in the centre of the golf valley. With wide palm-fringed fairways and few hidden dangers, the South golf course whilst being a top-calibre championship course is enjoyed by golfers of all standards. Many strategically positioned water hazards and bunkers will punish wayward shots. Length 6361 metres, par 72.

La Manga North Golf Course – La Manga Golf

Recently completely renovated, the North Golf Course is now, for many players, the highlight of their golfing holiday. The North Course is more undulating than the South Golf Course and offers a different, yet no less challenging, round of golf. Relying on precision rather than length, an added challenge is provided by the ‘barrancas’ that snake their way through the course.

The natural storm gullies feature on all three La Manga Club golf courses and add an extra dimension to the game. As with the South Course, and particularly on the back nine, water is a prominent feature.

La Manga West Golf Course – La Manga Golf

Set amid serene pine woodlands, the West Golf Course has frequent changes in elevation with which to contend. This is a deceiving course that demands the occasional blind shot. A tight front nine contrasts with the more open, but nonetheless challenging, back nine.

Those who get the better of the charming and elusive West Course will have played a memorable round and conquered only a third of La Manga Club finest golfing triangle.

La Manga Club Golf Academy – La Manga Golf

The La Manga Club David Leadbetter Golf Academy caters for all levels of ability, from beginner through to intermediate and advanced. PGA-qualified golf professionals guide participants through five mornings of instruction, and their enthusiasm and friendliness make each lesson relaxed, fun and informative. Classes take place Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon and are located at the David Leadbetter Golf Academy next to the newly renovated La Manga Club golf clubhouse.

Long Game Clinic – La Manga Golf

Pitch and Putt – La Manga Golf

Junior Golf at La Manga
